So this will be the only post that may drag a tad....Here it goes...
Last year I realized that I had gained a far amount of weight. It is strange how you can go so long without even realizing how big you have gotten...sigh
It is also strange how people who are close to you don't really point it out...Its like they care to much about your feelings to say anything. Man I would have been much happier hearing "dude you are getting fat" than finding out myself and extra few pounds later. Anyways I found myself about 50lbs overweight....man that number seems so evil when typed. ACK!
My stats were 5'2 1/2" (yes the half inch counts!)...and 180lbs
Not good.
But I got really determined and decided to change everything. I myself joined Weight Watchers (which was the best thing ever, but slightly strange at first being 22 when everyone else was older). I really think that it was one of the best decisions I made.
No matter what path you decide to take just deciding to lose weight is really the hardest step.
So from there I got within 4lbs of my goal weight. SO CLOSE! I then slipped, due to traveling and living in places where the food was awful. I went back at least 20lbs, but I am checking myself again in a couple of days.
So there it is, kinda...I will be sharing more later along with my weekly or daily progress, cooking ideas and how to eat awesome food (YES IT REALLY IS AWESOME!), and some other random stuff. Bare with me this is the first post and have some fun while getting good ideas. I know I could use some support!
Cheers for now.....

Firstly, congratulations on all the weight you lost and the sensible way you did it. I've known lots of girls who have gone to Weight Watchers at your age, but I guess not the meetings you've been going to. I battled my weight from the time I hit my teens, and I was the baby of a diet center I went to. I felt embarrassed, but everyone there loved me and cheered me on - which did help me a lot. At this point in my life, it's such an ingrained habit to count my calories - or points in your case - that I don't really 'diet' anymore. I just live my life keeping one eye on what I'm eating. It's now a lifestyle, I'm happy to say, and I rarely gain more than 3-4 lbs. And when I do, I'm on it! So good luck to you with tackling the gain. Just remember: It's a day at a time; day in and day out way of life. Try not to be hard on yourself for any slips.
Good Luck!
1Thank you so much! It really means a lot to hear from someone who has been there as well. Day by day is key!
